About the Author
Ingrid Klimke is an internationally renowned trainer and competitor in dressage, show jumping, and eventing. Representing Germany, she has built an impressive career, drawing on the expertise of her father, Reiner Klimke, as well as the guidance of influential figures such as Fritz Ligges, Ian Miller, and Anne Kursinski. Klimke has competed in five Olympic Games from 2000 to 2016, securing two gold medals in team eventing (2008 and 2012) and a team silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She has earned top placements at numerous World Equestrian Games, European Championships, and German Championships. Based in Münster, Germany, she has been named "Sportswoman of the Year" eleven times. In 2020, she was honored with the Peden Bloodstock FEI Award for "Best Athlete of the Decade."
