If there is one thing we know about the Pacific Northwest equestrian community, it’s that we love our horses fiercely. We love grooming them, riding them, spoiling them with treats, and ensuring they have the very best care.
But this June, the team here at Olson’s Tack Shop wants to extend that love to some local horses who are still waiting for their second chance.
We are incredibly excited to announce that for the entire month of June, we are partnering for a purpose with our neighbors over at Save a Forgotten Equine (SAFE)!
Who is SAFE?
If you haven’t heard of them, SAFE is an incredible non-profit equine rescue based right down the road in Snohomish, WA. They do deep, meaningful work under the "Three Rs" philosophy: Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Retraining. They don’t just take in horses facing neglect or abuse; they provide top-tier veterinary care, specialized nutrition, and professional training. SAFE ensures that every single horse gets the foundation they need to become a safe, happy, and rideable partner before finding their ultimate forever home.
Why June Matters
As the weather warms up, spring and summer become peak season for horse rescues. New rescue cases arrive, and the cost of specialized feed, farrier work, and medical care skyrockets. That’s where the Olson’s family comes in!
How You Can Help (With Just One Click!)
We wanted to make supporting these amazing animals as easy as grabbing a tub of hoof packing. All month long, you can support SAFE directly through Olson's:
-
Shopping Online? When you view your cart, you’ll see a special option to add a donation directly to your order before checkout.
-
Visiting the Shop? Just let our team know at the register that you'd like to add a donation to your purchase!
100% of these proceeds go directly to SAFE to fund everything from feed to professional training sessions.
Next time you stock up on fly spray, treats, or summer riding gear, consider adding a little extra love to your cart for a rescue horse. Let’s see how massive of an impact our community can make this June!
